FLACS is a recognized Local Education Agency (LEA) by the New York State Education Department (NYSED). Therefore, FLACS is authorized to enroll a child residing in New York State. As sanctioned by the NYSED, FLACS gives first priority for enrollment to children residing in the school’s geographic New York City Department of Education Community District Nine location. Siblings of currently enrolled students also have first priority in school enrollment.
