Comp2Kids Donates Computers to FLACS Sixth Graders: Comp2Kids, a division of Per Scholas (http://www.perscholas.org/), has partnered with FLACS to provide refurbished, home-desktop computers for FLACS’ middle school students and families. FLACS is the first charter school to partner with Comp2Kids. The Comp2Kids/FLACS partnership complements FLACS’ initiative to close the technology gap between inner-city students and their affluent counterparts. Home desktop computers increase student exposure to popular computer applications so as to cultivate computer skills that are essential aptitudes for success in education and the work-force. FLACS will link activities in the classroom to technology use in the home.
