FLACS delivers the education that our children deserve.

FLACS believes in every child’s potential to excel in school regardless of poverty status, ethnicity, or English language proficiency. The costs to operate such a high performing school are ever increasing. FLACS receives only 85% of what traditional public schools receive from the NYS Education Department (NYSED). NYSED has restricted future funding for charter schools at the 2009 level until 2012- in essence a three year funding freeze. To meet FLACS’ operational needs and to continue intervention and enrichment programs, FLACS must secure investments from private sources such as individuals, foundations, and corporations.
